Mid City

  • Mid-City is bound by I-110 on the west, College and N. Foster on the east, Choctaw to the north and I-10 to the south. It is one of the older subdivisions of Baton Rouge and was established in 1908 and is one of my favorite neighborhoods, especially since I lived there myself at one time.

Capital Heights in located in the Mid-City area of Baton Rouge.   Mid City includes several neighbors like Ogden Park, Bernard Terrace, and Capital Heights. Always a socially and economically diverse area, Mid City is quickly regaining popularity due to urban renewal and gentrification. Includes historic the newly rebuilt Baton Rouge Magnet High School and the Mid-City Merchants with various restaurants like the very popular Byronz Bistro and Superior Grill
